Ask A Question
Here you can find the answers to the most common questions about our sailing school. If you don't find what you're looking for, please don't hesitate to contact us!
At what age can you start sailing school?
Our school welcomes participants of all ages. We have specific courses for children starting from age 6, as well as dedicated programs for teenagers and adults, whether they are beginners or experts.
Is previous experience required to sign up?
No, no previous experience is required. Our courses are structured to guide students from the basic level to the most advanced, starting with the fundamentals of sailing.
What equipment is needed?
We provide the dinghies (sailing boats) and safety equipment (life jackets). Students are required to bring seasonal sportswear, sneakers that can get wet, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a full change of clothes.
How long does a sailing course last and what are the hours?
The duration and schedule of the courses vary depending on the program you choose (weekly, weekend, intensive). We invite you to consult the "Courses" section on our website or to contact us directly to find out about the available options and schedules.
What do you learn in a basic sailing course?
In a basic course, you will learn nautical terms, the concepts of wind and course, how to launch and haul the boat, the main maneuvers (tacking, gybing), sail trimming, and fundamental safety rules at sea.
Do the courses also take place in bad weather?
In the event of adverse weather conditions that prevent safe sailing, practical lessons will be replaced with theoretical or simulated activities in the classroom, or rescheduled for a later date. The safety of our students is always our top priority.
Is it possible to have a free trial lesson?
Yes, we offer the chance to participate in a free trial lesson so that interested individuals can discover the world of sailing and our teaching method. Contact us to book your trial.
Does the school also offer courses to get a boating license?
Currently, our school focuses on the practical teaching of sailing on dinghies and small cabin cruisers. For boating licenses, we can direct you to our partner schools we collaborate with, if you request it.
